Branding Photoshoot for Mortgage Specialist Mackenzie Elkoussy

I have had the pleasure of working with Mackenzie Elkoussy on multiple occasions. I’ve been her makeup and hair artist twice for headshots and have done her bridesmaid makeup and hair for our friend’s wedding.

When Mackenzie reached out to me and asked if I would be interested in working with her again as her headshot and branding photographer for her mortgage business, I was so excited. We have the silliest of silly goose times whenever we get together and I can’t imagine a lovelier human to spend the day with.

Fun fact: I have my real estate license and work part-time as a realtor assistant for my dad. We have had multiple buyers work with Mackenzie to finance their homes, and we have only ever heard glowing reviews about their experience working with her.

We started the day at my home studio, AKA the babe cave. This is a specially curated space where I hold bridal trials for my brides who have booked me for their wedding day makeup and hair. The natural lighting in this space is also so beautiful that I do headshot photography for my clients here.

Mackenzie requested a loose, professional wave for her hair, and a soft neutral eye makeup with a pink lip.

Once we finished makeup and hair in my studio, we took some headshots on a plain black background that she could use for promotional material like business cards and flyers.

From there we travelled to our second location in Gastown, a beautiful loft space with tons of natural light and exposed brick. Here we completed the branding portion of the day, making sure to get lots of lifestyle content (typing at a computer, taking calls, working at a desk, etc) that she could use for her social media.

Of course, no trip to Gastown is complete without the obligatory photo op outside on the cobblestones. We took advantage of the sunshine and spent some time outdoors capturing photos with Water Street in the background. After all of our hard work, we decided we deserved a good sit and treated ourselves to lunch :)

Thank you Mackenzie for continuing to trust me with your makeup, hair and photography. It was such a fun day and I’m always happy to see you!
